A one-minute promotional film for Nikkei, alongside an animated sequence presented during a keynote address by the company's CEO. Live playback allows no second take — the audio had to read clearly through an unfamiliar room's PA, beneath a speaker's delivery, for an audience whose eyes were on the stage rather than the screen.

A one-minute promotional film for Huawei, made as part of a three-brand series alongside the Financial Times and Nikkei. The films had to work as a set while giving each organisation a distinct voice — close enough to read as a series, separate enough that no brand sounded borrowed from another.

Ten Welsh Guardsmen recount their 2009 deployment to the Afghan front line. The score had to hold space for testimony without ever sentimentalising it — restraint under some of the heaviest material I've worked with.

A celebration of Caroline Aherne's life and work, told through unseen photographs and the memories of the friends who knew her best. The challenge was tonal agility: the film moves between very funny and very sad, sometimes within the same minute, and the score had to let both land without telling the audience which one to feel.
Roman Kemp: The Fight for Young Lives - BBC

Roman Kemp investigates whether young people facing a mental health crisis are getting the support they need in their own communities. Scoring contributors who are describing genuine distress demands restraint of a particular kind — the music had to hold the weight of what they were saying without dramatising it, and carry hope without ever tipping into false reassurance.
